AN EXPERIMENT WITH MARK MAKING

Please feel free to take a look at a new video titled, An Experiment With Mark Making. A brief description viewed below.

An experiment utilizing media such as charcoal, ink and oil pastel on a wooden palette surface, to enable a more open minded and free approach to mark making as an artistic process. Focusing on the process and the journey in contrast to a reflection upon the end result. This experiment was completed blindfolded to remove some form of subjectivity.

ANSELM KIEFER EXHIBITION @ THE ROYAL ACADEMY

Finally made a visit to a little Anselm Kiefer show at the Royal Academy last night. I urge everyone to go, he's really explored the opportunities available to him, in refection upon scale, media, the visuality of the pieces and the overall tactility and relation to the real world in question. Overwhelming from both a philosophical and psychological premise. Go on Friday evening, it's open until 10pm and much quieter, you can really appreciate the work and especially the curation of the show in its entirety.

ANDREW SALGADO @ BEERS CONTEMPORARY

Andrew Salgado's very tactile and vibrant oil paintings are still exhibited at the Beers Contemporary, near Old Street tube. They really depict a playfulness of paint, which I think is a beautiful contrast, with the emotiveness of the characters within each of his pieces. 

Go and take a look, it's on until November the 22nd.
