EN SITU SERIES

En Situ Series:

Within my practice, the origination of creating one of my larger scale paintings, or even simply having a visual reference of the land, begins its fruition with the production of En Situ, miniature paintings. Further information on the process can be found on my website.

I'm usually inspired by the area in which I'm located at the period in time, in this case it bases its roots in the City of London.

I've only just begun a few studies, and at first it was hard to adjust, not only to the population increase, but also a more varied landscape, which delivers with it far more narratives. However its more challenging and demands me to be far more patient with both the paint itself and with my concentration on what I'm viewing.

I'm looking forward to the future En Situ Studies.

BACK TO THE STUDIO

Back To The Studio:

Graduating from my BA in Lincoln with a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art, I'm also very proud to continue my academic studies for another intensive year, after receiving a scholarship to study MA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art & Design.

So I've moved from the idyllic Lincolnshire countryside, to the hustle and bustle of the big city, London. I'm having such a fantastic time so far, visiting all the galleries alone has been rewarding in its own right and I've started to draw inspiration from the vast expanses of parkland for some of the most recent miniatures, so its an exciting year ahead and I hope to deliver, through my blog and twitter, once again, a more established platform from which to display work, ideas and new explorations.

I hope not to disappoint.

After another long productive summer back at Robineau Patisserie, I'm finally returning back to my art practice.
